Please announce to your classes that many Cleveland students are planning to give a standing ovation to Jacob, the main speaker at today's assembly, when he is introduced as our speaker. Jacob was once abducted by the LRA rebels in Uganda and now tours the world to tell the story of his country. We would like everyone to join us in this demonstration of appreciation to this brave, inspirational young man.

All School:
Congratulations Annelise Cummings and Alex Harding for their winning entry at Portland Public Schools Science Expo! Their project, “Ask PEAT” (Photosensitive Epilepsy Analysis Tool) won both 1st place in the Medicine and Health division and Best of Fair!

The school nurse will be in at 9:30am today.

The spring musical, “Into the Woods” will continue Fri. 3/12 and Sat. 13, performance at 7pm, and Sun. 3/14 matinee at 2pm. Tickets, $15 for adults and $8 for students, are available online at www.clevelandhighschoolmusical.com or at the door.

Cleveland student artwork is on display at the 20th and Division New Seasons in the dining area during the month of March. Stop to see the art show and have a bite to eat.

Local Boy Scout camps will hire 300 counselors, swim instructors, foodservice workers, and more to work this summer. Applications and more info available at www.cpcbsa.org/campstaff. Submit an application and attend an interview day Sat. 4/3 in Portland or Salem.

Donate lightly used special occasion dresses to Abby’s Closet (a nonprofit organization that gives away prom dresses for free to those in need). Drop off dresses to room 119 or to Saks 5th Ave. for a 20% discount on a full priced dress.
