The Business Management/Marketing Focus Option
is a four-year program leading its graduates toward college
business schools and professional careers. This interdisciplinary
program provides specialty concentrations in accounting, marketing,
office systems and computer technology.
This Focus Option:
- Features opportunities for students to increase
business knowledge, interpersonal skills, oral and written
communication skills.
- Incorporates classroom business concepts
and computer applications with hands-on, community-based
training projects, internships, Future
Business Leaders of America, and actual case studies.
- Allows students to earn college credit through
PCC for computer coursework.
ADMISSION
As of January 2010, the district will no longer designate transfer slots for specific school-based programs (such as Cleveland's International Baccalaureate or Business Focus Option) as part of the 2010 lottery. Students who do not live in the Cleveland attendance area and who wish to transfer to Cleveland High School will need to complete the PPS lottery form and apply for the "regular program". Once students are selected by the lottery to attend Cleveland, they may then forecast for pre-IB and/or Business Focus Option classes.
No longer is attendance at any Business Focus Option meeting mandatory. Parents and students are invited to attend an informational meeting instead.

for 2010-2011:
Thursday, February 4th in the CHS Library, following Bridging
the Gap Open House at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, March 3rd at 8:30 a.m.
in Room 378-380 (This meeting falls
after the District Transfer Deadline. Transfer students
should complete the School Choice Form prior to attending
this meeting.)
