NOTE: The high school transfer application
deadline has now passed. Cleveland is no longer accepting
IB applications for 2008-2009.
Steps for students applying to Cleveland's IB
Program:
- Attend a mandatory meeting and sign in.
- Complete an application
and "Basic Statement
of Understanding" and return to Cleveland's IB
Coordinator by the District Transfer Deadline (Feb 22, 2008).
- Complete the District
School Choice Form by the District Transfer Deadline
(Feb 22, 2008).
Mandatory Meeting Times for the 2008-2009 Academic Year:
February 1, 2008- 9:00 a.m.., Library
February 7, 2008 - 8:30 p.m., CHS Auditorium (after "Bridging
the Gap")
February 12, 2008- 4:00 p.m. Library
February 19, 2008- 7:00 p.m., Library
District Transfer Deadline: February 22, 2008 |
All eighth grade students interested
in the International Baccalaureate program should apply to
the program at Cleveland, even if they are within Cleveland's
attendance area. While IB classes are open to all students
attending Cleveland, applications help us to determine staffing
and course offerings. Also, students who apply to the IB program
will automatically be invited to complete a 2-year IB plan
with the IB coordinator during their 10th grade year.
Those outside Cleveland's attendance area must
go through the Portland Public School lottery process for
transfers. Please visit the School

you will find information about the application process and
transfer deadlines.
