Cleveland is an urban high
school located in an area that ranges from apartments and
light industry to gracious homes and the nearby campus of
Reed College.
Cleveland serves a diverse population of approximately
1500 students. The composition of the student body in 2008

A dozen students participate in the Hearing
Impaired program. All assemblies are signed, and sign language
is a popular elective among mainstreamed students.
A comprehensive English Language Learners (ELL)
program exists for 4.2% of the students speaking more
than 18 languages.
