Grover Cleveland High School earned its
namesake in 1948 when it finally became a comprehensive high
school. Up to that time, the school had been known as the
Clinton Kelly High School of Commerce, a school primarily
for students pursuing business education. Today Cleveland
hosts the only business special focus program within Portland
Public Schools as well as a comprehensive array of classes
to meet the needs of Cleveland’s broad urban population.
